Pregnancy and postnatal yoga classes
Long gone is the theory that you should just sit on the sofa and eat doughnuts when you’re pregnant. (Although sometimes we like to do that too.) Prepare your body and soul for the event of a lifetime with an active pregnancy yoga class to safely strengthen and support your changing body, generate the stamina you need for birth as well as learning how to use your mind and breath as a powerful tool to relax through the challenges of pregnancy and labour.
Taking into account the needs of your changing body at this unique time, together we’ll help build what you need for birth and beyond.
Suitable from the second trimester/ after your first scan. All levels of fitness welcome and catered for.
This mum-focused, babies-included postnatal yoga class will aid your recovery in the postnatal period, lift your spirits and get you back to being you. With pelvic floor recovery exercises, safe strengthening and toning postures with breath work, this gentle flow will help your body heal and invite some much needed space and relaxation. We know it’s hard to create time for you with a small person in tow, so however you arrive, just come. We accept all mothers - especially those with puke on their leggings, messy mum-buns and sleep deprivation. (Sometimes, there will be cake too ☺)
Suitable from 6 weeks post birth (vaginal delivery). 8 weeks caesarean delivery.
